If you want to buy this but do not yet own (in this order) Mario Kart 8, Crash Team Racing, Nickelodeon 2 Grand Prix, and Team Sonic Racing, buy one of those first. It is however decidedly better than all star fruit racing which I also have for switch and is abysmal. It's just not much fun for very long, Conclusion: I prefer race with Ryan and Garfield Kart furious racing personally, and neither of those are that good. The controls are loose, and the game can be frustrating sometimes. It goes from 'this is so easy a five year old could do it' to 'oh man, the lackluster game design and loose controls are making this frustrating to play'. The difference between the easiest and next easiest setting is like flipping on a switch.
